Who we are

SamePay is a trading style of Solvo Solutions Ltd, a claims management company authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 1013195). We are registered in England and Wales (company no. 14760023); our registered office is Office 116 Regents Pavilion, Moulton Park Industrial Estate, Northampton, NN3 6BJ. Our ICO registration number is ZB675050.

Solvo Solutions Ltd is the data controller for the information you give us on this site. Our data protection lead is Reece Bailey. Contact compliance@solvosolutions.co.uk.

What we collect

Only what is needed to check your eligibility and, if you proceed, for Harcus Parker Limited to act for you: which supermarket or supermarkets you work or worked for; your role at each one, chosen from a list or typed in if it is not listed; the month and year you started at each one and, if you have left, the month and year you left; your typical hourly pay and the hours you work a week; which part of the UK your store is in; and your title, first name, surname, date of birth, email address, mobile number and home address. We also keep the illustrative estimate the check showed you, worked out from those answers, so that our team and the solicitors see the same figure you saw.

We also record how you arrived at this site and the details of your consent: the date and time, your IP address, the type of device and browser you used, the page that brought you to us, any advertising or campaign tags in the link you followed, and the declaration you signed, including your signature image.

We save your answers as you go. When you move from one step of the check to the next, the answers you have given so far are saved to our systems under a random reference, together with how far you got. On the last step, once you have typed an email address or mobile number, the contact details entered so far (your title, name, email address, mobile number and postcode) are saved as well, even if you do not press the final button. We do this so that, if you stop part-way, we can get in touch to help you finish. Each of these saves also records your IP address and the browser and campaign details described above. Your date of birth and full address are saved only when you submit the check.

We do not collect any special-category data, and we do not ask you about anything else.

Why we use it, and on what basis

To check your eligibility and refer you to Harcus Parker Limited, with your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by signing the declaration on the form. You can withdraw it at any time (see “Your rights”).

To save your answers as you go through the check and, if you have given us a way to reach you but did not finish, to contact you about your unfinished check: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in helping you complete something you started. You can ask us not to at any time (see “Your rights”).

To keep the site secure and to spot automated or duplicate submissions: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).

To keep the records the law and our regulators require: our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).

We use your information only to check your eligibility and make the introduction. We do not use it for marketing. We will not add you to any marketing list, and we will not contact you about anything other than your equal pay enquiry.

Who we share it with

Harcus Parker Limited, solicitors (SRA No. 653501), who assess and, if you instruct them, run your claim. Once you instruct them they become the data controller for your claim, and their own privacy notice applies. Any agreement you sign with them, including their funding agreement, is signed with them directly, not on this site.

Service providers who work for us, for example the hosting of this site, the database where your record is stored, the postcode look-up that finds your address and any tool we use to alert our team when a new enquiry arrives, under written contracts that require them to process your information only on our instructions and to keep it secure.

Regulators, courts or law enforcement, where the law requires.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else. Nothing is sent to Meta, Google or any other advertising company.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Our hosting platform may set a strictly necessary cookie for security or load balancing; it holds nothing about you and expires quickly. While you use the check, your browser keeps a small record in session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab or submit the check: a random reference for your submission, a second random reference for your browser, the time you started, the type of browser you are using and any campaign tags in the link you followed. This joins the steps of the check together and tells us which advert or search brought you to us. If you use the estimator on the home page, the figures you enter are passed to the check in the same way and cleared once they have been read.

We do not use fraud-prevention technology, analytics cookies or advertising cookies, and we do not count your visits. If we later add a tag manager to count visitors or measure our advertising, it will only set cookies with your consent, given through a notice on the site, and this notice will be updated first. Where it is kept and how it is protected

Your record is held in Solvo Solutions Ltd’s systems, hosted for us by our website and database providers. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to named, trained staff on a need-to-know basis. If any of our providers holds data outside the United Kingdom, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law allows for that transfer. If a breach affecting your information ever occurs, we will notify the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours where required and inform Harcus Parker within 24 hours.

How long we keep it

If you are referred to Harcus Parker: six years from the referral. If your enquiry is incomplete or you are not eligible: twelve months, after which it is deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Where your request concerns Harcus Parker’s handling of your claim, we will pass it to them within one business day. Contact compliance@solvosolutions.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so that we can put it right; our Complaints Procedure explains what to expect. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

This is version samepay-v1.0, dated 22 September 2026. If we change it, the version number changes and the new version is published on the site.
